Appointed in July 1, 2025 to lead the Pasadena Cooperative Parish, Pastor Cindy L. Banks brings over 18 years of faithful ministry within the Baltimore-Washington Conference of The United Methodist Church. Her journey has been marked by a deep commitment to community engagement, spiritual growth, and inclusivity.

 

Prior to her current role, Pastor Cindy served at In His Service Community Ministry and Chicamuxen United Methodist Church in Indian Head, Maryland. There, she established impactful ministries such as Embracing All God’s People, focusing on welcoming and uplifting individuals with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. Her outreach extended to feeding programs and partnerships with local schools to provide students with essential supplies and support .

 

Pastor Cindy's spiritual foundation was nurtured through her Episcopalian roots and further developed within United Methodism at Metropolitan UMC in Pomonkey, Maryland. She continues to deepen her theological understanding through studies at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C.

Beyond her ministerial duties, Pastor Cindy is a devoted mother of four and a proud grandmother of ten. She cherishes the memory of her late husband, Pastor Jacques T. Banks, whose legacy continues to inspire her service .

 

Administrative Assistant – Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church

 

Jennifer Harris serves as the Administrative Assistant at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, where her commitment to excellence, faith, and creativity shines through in all she does. More than just managing the church’s daily operations, Jennifer is a dynamic presence whose leadership and innovation are instrumental in shaping the ministries of Mt. Carmel.

 

With a passion for spiritual growth and community outreach, Jennifer plays a vital role in developing programs that equip the church to serve more effectively, connect more deeply, and grow more faithfully. From coordinating ministry events to supporting pastoral vision, her behind-the-scenes work creates a strong foundation for vibrant worship and mission.

 

Administrator – Magothy United Methodist Church

 

Lee “Dixie” Cutlett serves as the dedicated Administrator of Magothy United Methodist Church, bringing both heart and organization to the day-to-day life of the church. With a warm smile and a deep love for her church family, Dixie is often the first point of contact for members and visitors alike.

 

Behind the scenes, she ensures that the ministries of Magothy run smoothly—managing communications, coordinating schedules, and supporting both the pastoral and lay leadership. Her attention to detail, reliability, and steady presence are vital to the mission and ministry of the church.

 

Dixie’s deep roots in the community and her steadfast faith make her not just a staff member, but a trusted spiritual companion to many. She is known for her kindness, her willingness to serve, and her genuine care for others.
